I'm trying to centralize all of my syslogs to a central computer (slackware). Everything is configured, installed and running fine except for my DC. It's not connecting to the slackware machine for some reason. I get an ERRORCODE 53 ( couldnt load settings from 192.168.0.154) the other computers that are working fine are xp and server 2000. My DC is server 2003.

Error 53 is a name resolution problem (name not found; try "net helpmsg 53"). Maybe a DNS issue?

i thought it might be a DNS issue so i checked the forward and reverse look up zones and there are both host records and prt records for the slackware machine, can yall think of anything else?
