Error when showing Charts

Postby DocBrown on Thu Dec 04, 2008 2:17 pm

I got the following message when I try to show the Statistics

Notice: Undefined index: Columns in /var/www/phplogcon-2.5.14/src/chartgenerator.php on line 136
Error Details: Database Field mapping for at least one field could not be found.

Which database table is this message referring to? Dependingon the selected datasource in case there are multiple definitions?

FYI
I am using custom defined tables and custom defined field mappings in constants_logstream.php
And I am using phplogcon 2.5.14

Any hint what mightbe going wrong ?

Hi,

first of all I would recommen d to use the latest Version of phpLogCon which can be obtained from here:
http://www.phplogcon.org/downloads

If you receive the same problem there, please let me know how you configured your charts, and what kind of data logsource you are using.

I updated to the most recent version but the error still appears.

I guess that there is a hardcoded mapping between the fields and the database table.

Where can I do the mapping between the filed used for the charts and the corresponding table?

And how does this behave in case there are more than one datasource defined?

Currently the database mapping can only be manually configured in the file include/constants_logstream.php (at the very end). It is not possible yet to configure it using the Admin panel. Alternative you can create your own database mappings manually, please see my post here for howto: post14710.html#p14710

How the charts behave with different logsources, you can see this on our demo site:
Database Source: http://demo.phplogcon.org/statistics.ph ... id=Source5
Syslog file Source: http://demo.phplogcon.org/statistics.ph ... id=Source1

You can see on the "Eventlog Type" chart what happens if fields are missing.

best regards,
Andre
