Error sending MIAP message

Postby TimCooper on Mon Mar 29, 2004 4:35 pm

After running the Monitorware Agent for a day or so using SSL connections on port 4433 to the monitorware server it seems to get its knickers in a twist. Each of the clients sending messages to the server start to log the following error :-

Event ID 114

Error sending MIAP message

Error Code: 0
Error Message: receiveFrame detected an invalid MIAP frame header.

Any ideas?

Hi,

it seems like that something crashes the server after a day or within a day so it doesn't perform usefull work anymore. But in order to find out more, I need a few questions answered ;)

On the SETP Server side, are there any error's in the Eventlog from MWAgent?
And which version are you currently using?

Hi,

I get the following error logged on the server

Event ID: 1002

The TCP server process encountered a fatal condition in "AttachStarter". Processing may not continue correctly. The following additional information is reported: "Unknown error while sending data (SSL/TCP)" Please restart the service if in doubt. For a fix, please contact adiscon support. Additional help might be available at http://www.adiscon.com/EventHelp.asp

Hi,

thanks for this details. I know have a rough idea where the error /problem happens. It happens during a send Operation, direction Server to Client.

In order to get more details, could you please follow these instructions:
1. Enabled Debug Output to file in the General Options with Full Debugoutput on the SETP Server side.
2. Then restart the MWAgent Service and let it run for a while. Till it comes up with this error again.
3. Pack the debug-logfile with zip or rar and send it by email to me @ alorbach@adiscon.com.

Hi,

which version are you using?
The new 3.0 Version has new error handling and is much more stable and recovers corrupted connections and so on.

best regards,
