I'm a newbie, so please bear with me. Some users have complained that emails are being delivered a few hours or a few days too late on out Exchange server. Does anyone have any ideas as to what this could be? Thanks!

have you checked your incoming load of emails?
The overall spam volume has increased during the last months. Your Server might get overwelmed with SPAM.

Otherwise I the exchange server could be on heavenly load for some other reasons.

Are you referring to the spam filter on the user's side, or one that would be in the server itself. If it's in the server, where could I find it?

I am refering to the server side.
Since Ex2003 SP2, there is the "Exchange Intelligent Message Filter".

You can monitor your message queue's using the Exchange Server Controlpanel, then you know if your Server is under heavy load.
