DNS RR set that ought not exist, does exist

Postby Bill on Tue Mar 30, 2004 7:50 am

The 2000 server went down hard after power outage. I get Registration of the DNS record 'xxxxx' 600 srv0 100 389 'servername' failed.
I also get Bad DNS packet with the same error.
I also get a no suitabel default server credential exists on thsi system. ect.
I also get a Dynamic regisration or deregistration of one ore more DNS records failed because no DNS servers are available.(which there is on running in services).

What happens, is that the users logon and it can take up to 30 minutes for the logon to complete. Access to the internet and other applications are normal. Event viewer gets the above error messages about six or seven times during a 24 hour period. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
