DHCP service stops working..event id:1059... Help!!

Postby Guest on Mon Aug 08, 2005 3:53 pm

Hi,
Quick question:
I have a Windows Servewr 2003 Doamin controller, I also have a Windows server 2003 standard used for DHCP serving.

The DHCP server runs just fine for a few days and for no reason DHCP stops working, I can not figure this out, the only way to make DHCP to work again is just to re-add the server to the Domain again.. weird... the only EVENT id error message is:

EVENT id: 1059
"The DHCP service failed to see directory server for authorization"..

This is driving me nuts.. any suggestion/help would be very much appreciated...

Thanks.

Same Issue

I just wanted to let you know that you are not the only one with this issue. My server was upgraded from W2k to W3k and ran well for a week. Now DHCP cannot connect.

Are you running Ghost on the server?
