Greetings... I had problems with my printer not printing, so tried to uninstall the printer software, but add/remove programs in win2000 would not remove it. So, I deleted, and deleted many registry keys - foolishly without making a backup. Now, when I try to reinstall the Lexmark software and drivers, during installation it says:

AddMonitor() Failed
Class does not exist

AddPrinterDriver() Failed
The specified printer monitor is unknown

And so does not complete installation.
I have used regclean.exe, no change. I thought of reinstalling win2000 again, but at win2000 setup, when selecting the disk drive, it is labelled as unknown, and so I would have to delete the partition, losing everything on it (80GB drive).

So, is there a way to get the setup to see the partition correct (not 'unknown') or a way to get back these 'missing classes'?
