can rsyslog log statistics about the events it processed

syslog-ng has a "log statistics" option that enables the events couters (total, dropped, filtered, etc) to be sent to the syslog-ng server on a configured time period basis. does rsyslog have similar capability? if yes, how to enable it? thanks
