Here is the fix for this annoying little thing, If you have turbo tax on your machine this fix should do it. Go to www.intuit.com click the support tab and go tto the right of the page and click the uninstall turbotax link. Follow th instructions making sure you download the c-dilla uninstaller. What c-dilla does is it monitors your CD burning and disables your CD burning. This can have widesoread effects including causing your computer to lock up when web browsing. Good luck

So that didn't work completely, but I discovered a different solution. My ACPI driver version was different from the normal version. This may have occured during an update or something. The normal version is 5.1.2600, my version was 5.1.5353 or something like that. What I did to fix this problem ( I have WinXP pro): go to start, settings, control panel, administartive tools, computer management, then on the left screen go to the device manager, then system devices, then ACPI fixed feature button. Check to make sure the driver version is 5.1.2600. If not go to uninstall and follow the directions. You will have to shutdown twice as windows recognizes the new hardware. This fix reset my driver version to 5.1.2600 and the fix has worked so far. Hope this helps
